1. Who we are
Dot Hotel is run by Vizentro (“we”, “us”). It’s a directory of rooms: community-written setups (instructions, app lists, Custom Rules and guardrails) for OpenAI Dots and compatible agents. These terms cover dothotel.app, its API and the dothotel CLI (together, “Dot Hotel”).
Dot Hotel is independent. It isn’t made, endorsed or sponsored by OpenAI. OpenAI, Dots, ChatGPT, Codex and other product names are trademarks of their owners.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13, or the age of digital consent where you live, and able to agree to these terms. If you use Dot Hotel for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Don’t pose as someone else, as Dot Hotel staff or as another brand. We may reclaim a handle that is misleading, infringing or unused.
4. Rooms you publish
- You keep ownership of what you write.
- You license it to everyone under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may use, copy, adapt and share it, including commercially, with credit to you. This can’t be withdrawn for copies people already made.
- You also give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, review, export, reformat (for example as skills and plugins) and promote it, as part of running Dot Hotel.
- You promise that you have the right to publish it, that it doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights, and that it contains no secrets, credentials or other people’s personal data.
5. House rules
Follow the house rules. In particular, don’t publish or use Dot Hotel for:
- rooms that hide their real purpose, misstate the access they need, or try to make an agent act against its user (prompt injection, data exfiltration, unapproved spending, messaging or deletion);
- malware, phishing, fraud, spam, harassment, hate, or anything illegal;
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or privacy;
- attacking, overloading or probing Dot Hotel, getting around rate limits or access controls, or scraping beyond normal use of the public API;
- gaming check-in counts, saves, reviews or reports.
6. Reviews and moderation
Rooms go live after automatic checks. The front desk may review them later. We can stamp, pause, edit listing details of, or remove any room, and suspend or close any account, at our discretion, including without notice when we believe it protects people or the service. You can report a room from its page.
7. Using rooms is at your own risk
Rooms are written by other people. They are instructions your agent may follow with access to your email, calendar, code, money or other accounts. A Reviewed stamp means a person checked that version against our checklist. It is not a guarantee that the room is safe, accurate or right for you. Read a room’s permissions and rules before you use it. You alone decide what to connect and approve, and you’re responsible for what your agent does. We don’t run your agent and never access your connected accounts.
8. Our property and software
Apart from rooms (owned by their authors) and open-source parts, Dot Hotel’s software, design, name, mascot and logos belong to Vizentro and may not be copied or used without permission. The dothotel CLI is open source under the MIT License, which governs your use of its code. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
9. Disclaimers
Dot Hotel and all rooms are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We don’t endorse and aren’t responsible for any room or user content.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Vizentro and its people won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, money or goodwill, or for actions taken by any agent using a room, arising from your use of Dot Hotel. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.
Some places don’t allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.
11. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of rooms you published or your breach of these terms, you’ll cover our reasonable losses and costs, as far as the law allows.
12. Ending things
You can stop using Dot Hotel and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect others. We may change or discontinue Dot Hotel. Sections 4, 7 and 9 to 14 survive termination.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe a room infringes your rights, email support@vizentro.com with the room link, the work you own, and a statement that you’re authorised to act. We’ll review it and may take the room down.
14. General
These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Dot Hotel. If we update them, we’ll change the date above and give notice of significant changes. Continuing to use Dot Hotel afterwards means you accept the new terms. If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver. You may not transfer these terms; we may, in connection with a sale or reorganisation. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Vizentro is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally.
Questions about these terms: support@vizentro.com. Privacy requests: privacy@vizentro.com.
